Shop at Markel’s on November 20^th from 10am to close.

Appetizers and Drinks from 5pm to close.

Percentage of Sales will be used for Zonta International Projects, including Microfinancing for Women in Underprivileged Countries.

These projects reflect important Zonta dates in November:

November 8^th is Zonta Founders’Day and

November 25^th is International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The elimination of violence against women is an important initiative by Zonta International, and an important issue locally as well.  1 in 3 women worldwide will be beaten, raped, coerced into sex or otherwise abused in her lifetime.

We have seen the worst form of this in the low country with several women locally killed by their husbands.

Empowerment of women is key to breaking the cycle of discrimination and violence and protecting their rights.
